Blue Jays Won a Playoff Game!

Yay!  Yay!  Yay!  Woohoo!  Go Jays Go!

Okay, bear with me, I’m just in a diluted fantasy world right now, where the Blue Jays are actually winning playing playoff baseball.  Matt ‘the Canadian lumberjack’ Stairs, hit a crucial two run homerun to clinch the win for the Jays last night!  We are only one step away from the World Series!  Stairs has been a great player for us all year, until the trade deadline when he mysteriously disappeared from the planet.  Yay!  Yay!  Yay! Ya yeeeee haaaaaa, muh.  Okay, no it didn’t happen like that.

Time to come back to life and back to reality.  The Jays didn’t make the playoffs and Matt Stairs got sent to the Phillies, where he won Game 4 with a two-run homer in the 8th inning.

That is what really happend.  Although somehow, I feel that a part of us, (the Blue Jays), won that game last night.  Wow I’m so desparate for the Jays to make the playoffs.  I’ve wasted the better part of teenage youth waiting for it.  Its a sad story, probably could be a book.

Anyway, congratulations Stairs!  Jays fans all rejoiced in that homer you hit last night.  You made proud. (tear down the cheek).   Here is the picture I made of Stairs early this season. (another tear down the cheek).

Love your Matt Stairs picture. And I can totally understand why you’d take Blue Jays pride in his homer. I’m so desperate without the Yankees in the playoffs that when Manny tied Bernie Williams for most hits in the postseason, I actually cheered just to hear my team’s name!

Thanks for the comment! Heyhurst was really wild. Personally, I think he need a lot more time in the minors. I didn’t really like him because he gave up a lot of runs, and his stuff is not amazing. But with time, I think he could be a decent bullpen guy. Not starter, though. I have bad memories about his starts. Anyway, I’d hope he could get some honing in the minors before pitching for you Rays.
